Fox 2018 Winter Fair Silent Auction

Welcome to the Fox Winter Fair Silent Auction! We have dozens of fantastic items, meals, holidays and experiences to peruse and bid on, thanks to our generous donors - parents and businesses, most of them local but some from further afield too.

The money raised will be used to enrich the education and opportunities of all children at Fox. From classroom books to playground features, jazz workshops to sports week, and computer upgrades to musical productions, money raised by the FSA fills important funding gaps and contributes to Fox’s persistent status as one of the top primary schools in England.

THE AUCTION PROCESS:

1. Please register with your email and set up a password in order to bid on lots.

2. The Silent Auction will close at 10pm on Saturday, December 1st.

3. If you mark any lots as favourites or bid on any lots, you will receive automatic e-mail updates on any new bid activity.

4. You can either bid 'exact' amounts or 'proxy' amounts. A 'proxy' amount is the maximum you would be willing to bid on a lot. The system then bids automatically for you every time a new bid is made by another party, up to the point when your proxy amount is reached. If your proxy bid is exceeded by another party and you are still interested in the lot, you will need to submit a new bid.

5. Please note that some lots have special terms & conditions or exclusions, clearly explained in the item description.

6. Please verify your bid amounts. The Auction Administrators are not able to delete individual bids made in error.

7. To deter 'auction sniping', which is the process of entering a bid in the final seconds of an auction, leaving no opportunity for other participants to outbid the sniper, the system automatically extends the end time of an item by 3 minutes when it receives a bid during the final 3 minutes of the auction. This process repeats until no new bids are received during the final 3 minutes of the item bidding window or the auction has been extended for a maximum of 30 minutes beyond the original end time.

The Fox School Association includes parents, teachers and administrators of Fox, and its goal is to provide facilities at the school that enhance the education of all students. With the support of parents, alumni, charities and corporate and other donors, the association sponsors student programs and activities, invests in equipment, and serves as a contingency for the school where needed.
