WAA: Fox Valley Chapter ~ Red Smith Auction

This year, the 56th annual Red Smith Sports Awards will be a virtual event, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. The honorees will include former UW coach Bo Ryan, Brewers Manager Craig Counsell and baseball legend Joe Torre. The Red Smith committee is working on an event which will continue their long tradition of recognizing the adult volunteers that are dedicated to local youth sports; raise funds to provide grants for high school and community sports programs and award scholarships to high school athletes.

The WAA: Fox Valley Chapter is honored to again be the charitable focus of the annual Red Smith Sports Awards. All proceeds from our new online auction will help the chapter continue to provide scholarships for local high school students attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

**** Bidding is now open and will continue until Wednesday, March 3rd at 9:30PM, approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Red Smith Sports Awards livestream event!

The WAA: Fox Valley Chapter is proud to play an active role in supporting the goals of Wisconsin Alumni Association and UW-Madison. The Chapter helps to bring the UW and the Wisconsin Idea to the community through educational, networking and social events. In addition, for over 25 years, the Chapter has been awarding scholarships to local students who plan to attend UW–Madison. We have offered up to 10 scholarships annually to high school seniors who reside in Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca and Winnebago counties. The proceeds of this auction will support the Fox Valley chapter community outreach efforts and scholarship program.
