Fox Fest 2018

Each year, our parent council holds a community event and fundraiser we call FoxFest. We need your help more than ever.

Next year's budget has again dealt our small school a crippling blow, depriving us of virtually all support and funding for anything besides teacher salaries. In order to provide level programming and funding next year we must raise upwards of $30,000 through grant writing, raffles, auctions, and donations.

We need to fundraise in order to ensure that our students have enriching programs, an environment for learning that is safe, supportive and nurturing, and even for basic instructional supplies. The School Parent Council is responsible for raising funds to cover the costs of activities such as field trips, Making Music Matters and school-wide events.

Phineas Bates Elementary is a K-6 Boston Public School in Roslindale. Our students come from Roslindale, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, Mattapan and Roxbury. The majority of families come from low-income households. Many are learning to speak English and are new to this country. We have an active and engaged parent council and are working with the school to help each child get the education they deserve.
