Foil the MIlfoil: The Moody Pond Challenge

Coincident with our Foil the Milfoil Challenge, many generous community members and businesses interested is supporting our cause have donated valuable auction items to help our fundraising goals.
With the funds raised, the Friends of Moody Pond can begin the process of contracting for Eurasian Milfoil suppression and elimination. We also hope to apply for matching grant funding. The more interest and support we receive from the community, the more luck we will have in doing so.
This auction will take place online, all bids to be placed online. Items will be on display and final online bidding will take place on Saturday, August 8th as we conclude the Moody Pond Challenge with an ice cream social at 331 Forest Hill Avenue in Saranac Lake. If you come for ice cream, bring your phone to make your final bids and pay by debit, credit or Paypal. Auction closes at 2 p.m.

Our Goals

To preserve, and protect the quality of the water of Moody Pond, the Moody Pond neighborhood, and environment surrounding it.
To educate and assist members and the general public to use Moody Pond in a responsible manner, without degrading the natural state of the pond, the surrounding land, or the neighborhood.
To improve the water quality of the pond and eradicate invasive species.
Establish beneficial relationships with state and local governments and agencies and the surrounding neighborhood as a means to improve the health and management of the Pond, its shoreline, and watershed.
Monitor progress toward stated goals and seek to continuously improve operational strategies to best achieve these goals.
Communicate progress to the Pond community.
