Fall HAY FUNDraiser

Fall is officially here :-)
the cottonwoods are turning yellow, the temps are dropping, the horses are getting winter coats…
 it’s a beautiful time of year to visit the ranch and meet the herd. 
We invite you to schedule a tour and join us. 

Hay update… 
Dave our friend and farmer who delivered  his Colorado grass hay for over a decade retired in July. So we’ve been having to get it from other sources: which means more $ and smaller more frequent deliveries…
 it also has resulted in no more “hay days” where volunteers came together to help unload 350 bales and gathered after for a home cooked meal and camaraderie. Which we all miss ;-(

As winter approaches and the barnyard becomes harder to drive in and out of as it gets wet, we’re hoping to stock up the barn with Hay for the herd. We’re currently paying $12.75 a bale, and would like to get 400 bales $5,100…

We also have a recent issue with our water source / well on the ranch in Pena Blanca.  Our water transfer pump we bought earlier this year (Jan) stopped working… we just bought a new one ($400) and still no luck… no water. 

So we’re trying to get a Well company out to Pena Blanca to check it out and hopefully fix it. Water is life and essential so we’re hoping for the best but it’s a scary scenario. And we have no idea what the cost will be. So there’s a buy now item for well support to donate $100 for the cause.
