Thank you for joining us for our 1st annual Art for Animals Online Auction!

Free Spirit Sanctuary (FSS) provides a lifelong home for domestic and wild horses, donkeys, mules and other farm animals that have been rescued from abuse, neglect and slaughter.

Like most small nonprofit organizations, we depend on public donations, which have been significantly impacted in the wake of the global pandemic and the downturn in the oil patch.



Our resources were recently stretched to the limit after experiencing a few back-to-back veterinary emergencies, totalling close to $20,000. With donations down, and still needing to purchase the second half of our winter hay supply, we realized we needed to get innovative to come up with the urgently needed funds.



"Art for Animals"- a virtual auction featuring photos, paintings and other creative works by both professional and hobby artists. With more than 80 pieces up for bid, you're sure to find something you love!

All proceeds go directly toward providing food, veterinary care and sanctuary for the wonderful animals of FSS!

Free Spirit Sanctuary provides lifelong sanctuary for domestic and wild horses, donkeys and mules, as well as a small number of farmed animals, rescued from abuse, neglect and slaughter. Our mission includes inspiring compassion for all living beings and advocating for protection and freedom of Alberta's wild horses.
