Family Health Foundation of Missouri at 2024 AFC

Founded by the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians as its philanthropic arm, the Family Health Foundation of Missouri (FHFM), is dedicated to improving the health of Missouri families by supporting scientific, educational, and charitable activities through the field of family medicine. The FHFM is a 501 (c)(3) organization and donations may be tax-deductible.

Conference Attendance
The FHFM provides funding for residents and students to attend MAFP and AAFP conferences.

MAFP Annual Fall Conference
MAFP Transition to Practice Conference
AAFP National Conference

Scholarships
The top graduating medical students entering Missouri family medicine residencies are awarded certificates and scholarships of $500 each.

Summer Externships
With AAFP Foundation matching funds, the Family Health Foundation of Missouri sponsors four-week summer externships for medical students.

Tar Wars® Program
The mission of Tar Wars® is to educate 4th and 5th grade students about being tobacco-free, provide them with the tools to make positive decisions regarding their health, and promote personal responsibility for their well-being.
