About Our Auction

Faithful Friends Animal Society’s 5K & Mutt Mile, a family-
friendly event, is now in it’s 10th consecutive year!
Learn more at faithfulfriends5K.com.

We are hosting a limited in-person event and have added a
new virtual option so runners and walkers can participate
from anywhere! Dogs are welcome to join their owners on
the 5K cross-country course at Bellevue State Park and virtual
racers are encouraged to take their pups along too! Awards
are given to the top male, female and canine finishers of the
5K (both in-person and virtual races.) The Mutt Mile (1-mile)
is perfect for people and pups who are aren’t quite ready for
the 5K, or those who simply prefer a more leisurely walk.

Despite the changes to our event this year, we expect 500+
participants and we hope we can count on you to become
an event sponsor or underwriter. It’s a great time to share
your love of Faithful Friends with the community!

Your generous donation will support the lifesaving work
for cats and dogs that happens everyday at Faithful Friends.
Whether it’s finding forever loving homes for abandoned
pets, providing critical care to pets in need, or organizing
therapeutic pet visits to the most vulnerable members of
our community, the reach of Faithful Friends continues
to expand.

About Faithful Friends Animal Society

Faithful Friends Animal Society is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization with a No Kill shelter and community veterinary clinic. All animals in our care stay with us until placed into new homes. We are funded through donations, grants, and fees for services. We allocate the majority of our budget (about 82%) for community programs and services.

Faithful Friends was born out of a moral imperative to expose the mass killing of cats and dogs entering Delaware’s publicly funded shelters. For two decades, our advocacy has vastly improved outcomes for shelter animals, saving thousands of easily adoptable, trainable, and treatable pets from certain death. With an unflagging commitment to our mission, we continue to advocate for reform, save lives, and reduce pet relinquishment through our local programs and services.

Programs and services include rescue and adoption, vaccine clinics, spay/neuter clinics, free pet food & supply bank, pet therapy services, and community outreach. More details can be found under the What We Do.
