18th Annual Summer Harvest Gourmet Gala

Franciscan Earth Literacy Center's three areas of focus foster a sense of community and growth. The proceeds from our fundraiser will help with our Educational and Environmental Programs, Seeds of Hope Agricultural Programs and many other programs offered at Franciscan Earth Literacy Center. Seeds of Hope Farm is currently partnering with local businesses to provide microgreens and mushrooms and also provide vegetables and herbs for local restaurants. Staff are also excited to soon be working with the new Tiffin Community Kitchen of future programs. The proceeds will help us continue to improve our public spaces for people of all abilities, provide a fun and safe place to learn and grow healthy food for our community for generations to come.

The St. Francis Campus Ministries are lived through our values of balancing Prayer that leads to Action, Care of Creation, Peacemaking and Concern for the Poor. Our commitment to these values has enabled us to provide our guests with an atmosphere and spiritual programs conducive to healing, reconciliation, and renewal. The lives of senior residents living on our campus have been enriched, thus helping them “live life fully.” Students and adults have benefitted from summer camps, education programs, family fun days, community gardens and the produce grown at the Seeds of Hope Farm while providing training and employment for adults with developmental disabilities. Following the words which inspired Mother Francis and Father Bihn: “…whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did to me,” (Mt. 25:40) guide the Sisters in providing for the needs of those who come to our door.
