Every Plate Full Auction 2018

As part of the national Every Plate Full campaign, Edmonton's Food Bank asked local artists to create works of art for this auction raising funds to help feed those in need in Edmonton.

Local artists responded with enthusiasm and created stunning plates that you can now bid on and take home! $1 = 3 meals for those in need.

Every Plate Full is a campaign raising awareness of the challenges food banks face during the spring and summer. This is a time of year when donations to food banks are traditionally low while the need remains high. Spring and summer is the time of year when our shelves are at their emptiest. We hope this auction inspires you to support those less fortunate throughout the year.

Edmonton's Food Bank envisions a community where hunger does not exist, where all citizens have access to adequate and nutritious supply of food. Our mission is "to be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger."

Each month, over 30,000 people receive food hampers from Edmonton’s Food Bank. The Edmonton Food Bank also distributes food for about 350,000 meals and snacks each month through more than 300 agencies, churches, schools and food depots. Approximately 40 percent of our clients are children under 18.
