Day of Bridge 2025

The VICTORIA CLUBS will be hosting their eighth Day of Bridge benefiting the Alzheimer Society BC, which equates to the Longest Day in the USA.  The Bridge Auction will be held online.  The Games can be played anywhere, any day that suits the participants.  All sanction fees, donations, and auction proceeds go to Alzheimer Society British Columbia. 

This year, the Alzheimer Game (extra black points) will be Saturday, June 21st, a week after the Penticton Regional. The extra $2.00 table fee will go to Alzheimer Society of BC.  The winners of our Bridge Lottery will be drawn during the break. 

There are the 4 ways you can contribute to Alzheimer Society BC other than playing on the above date: 

1. Participate in the Day of Bridge Auction 2025 which takes place on this website https://www.32auctions.com/DayofBridge2025.  Click on “All Items” to see auction items.  The auction begins May 8th and ends June 20th at 10PM. All commitments between participants should be completed by the end of September 2025, unless agreed to by the participants.  The game/lesson dates and locations are to be discussed with the bidder.  

2. Make a tax-deductible donation directly to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. by clicking "Donate Now" on this fundraising page.   The Alzheimer Society page is at http://joinbc.alzheimer.ca/goto/dayofbridge2025.  You might have to join.

3. You may yourself donate a service or item to the auction and/or help find someone who can. i.e. major appliances, pots and pans, trips, bed and breakfasts, plane rides, hotel stays, store gift certificates, etc.   We need prizes for the draw as well.   We need prizes for the draw as well.  Please let Nicole know as soon as possible if you are donating for the auction or the lottery prizes. 

4.  Buy our lottery tickets.  The Draw will be held on June 21st at NOON  during the break.

There are the 3 ways you can contribute to Alzheimer Society BC other than playing on the above date: 

1. Participate in the Day of Bridge Auction 2025 which takes place on this website https://www.32auctions.com/DayofBridge2025. Click on “All Items” to see auction items.  The auction begins April 22nd and ends June 20th at noon. All commitments by players and teachers and bidders must be completed by the end of September 2025.   You will discuss the game/lesson date and location with the bidder.  You can play these games on any date, at any club and/or online.  

2. Make a tax deductible donation directly to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. by clicking "Donate Now" on this fundraising page. This is also where you pay for your auction items on or before June 21st when you know you are the successful bidder. When you are notified by email of a winning bid and have completed your payment in full, the Auction Coordinator, Nicole, will provide the “Seller” and "Bidder" with an email in order that the final details for your game or lessons may be arranged. If you win a physical item, you will be able to arrange for pickup/delivery.   Some items like gift certificates and vouchers can be emailed out.

Our Victoria Bridge experts, teachers and mentors have graciously volunteered their services for our exciting Day of Bridge 2025 Online Auction benefiting Alzheimer Society BC.   In addition to the games and lessons from some of our internationally acclaimed experts, we hope to offer other fun and useful services and gifts.
