About Our Auction
Right now, DANA Adobe & Cultural Center is doing everything possible to sustain daily operations and provide services to our guests. We are currently closed due to pandemic and unable to host field trips, events or give tours; this means we have very little income coming in. We have had to cancel numerous fundraising events to keep DANA Adobe & Cultural Center open to the public. While there’s a lot of uncertainty, we know that we need to adapt fast to our changing reality. The funds raised from our online auction will help fund our growing programs.
The DANA property is a unique venue hosting Nipomo’s largest community events including NatureFest, Heritage Days, Taste of Nipomo, outdoor concerts, chamber mixers, etc. Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos (DANA), a 501c (3) public benefit nonprofit established in 1999, began with the initial focus to save the crumbling historic Dana Adobe and gain its state and national recognition. Over our 20-year history, and through a number of state, federal, and individual funding sources, the restoration of the Adobe is complete; 30 acres of surrounding land purchased, 100 acres east of the Adobe permanently protected, a Cultural Center was added to the property to host a revolving gallery with a multitude of exhibits and events, field trips for our local schools and ongoing changes are happening to the property every day to best serve our community.
