Cowichan Seniors Smart and Caring Fund

Funds from this auction will support the programs and services to seniors in the Cowichan Region. Contributions up to $2,500 will be matched by the Victoria Foundation making a $5,000 addition to our $25,000 fund. Grants from this fund ensure our seniors can visit their doctor when needed or receive their meals on wheels.

Since 1999 the Cowichan Seniors Community Foundation has been advocating for seniors programs and services in the Cowichan Region. Today we continue this work and also deliver very important programs that affect the quality of life for people growing older and aging in our community. Last year our volunteers delivered over 4,000 meals to seniors, provided 1,800 rides to medical appointments to seniors who no longer drive and drove over 24,000 kilometers. Cornerstone to our work is collaboration with like minded organizations, local governments and Island Health to ensure our work has a positive impact on the community and meets the needs of the aging population of the Cowichan Region.
