Chinese Community Center silent auction

As a non-profit organization heading into its 50th year in the Capital District, the CCC is looking for generous donors to support the CCC’s Building Renovation project and this Anniversary Celebration event, estimated to cost $26,000 in total.

The Chinese Community Center (CCC) was founded in 1973. CCC serves over 10,000 Chinese Americans in the Capital Region. CCC membership is open to everyone who is interested in Chinese culture and language.

CCC operates 10 ongoing weekly activity clubs and educational programs: our Sunday Chinese School, 3 dance clubs including Tai Chi Fan Dance, Math club for grade K-10, Calligraphy class, Ping Pong Club, and CCC Peking Opera Academy. CCC also held traditional celebrations like Lantern Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations annually.

With CCC’s growing number of members and its ongoing activities and events, CCC needs to conduct a major building renovation that will remove the supporting columns that separate the building hall space, raise the ceiling and move the office location. To better utilize the space for the growing needs, to serve over a thousand people join CCC activities and events in the building per year.
