A Fundraiser for Children's Ground

This auction will raise funds for Children's Ground, a bold not-for-profit organisation aiming to celebrate First Nations cultures and knowledge systems, create life-long opportunities to end intergenerational disadvantage in First Nations communities and reset the national policy framework based on equity and justice.

Children's Ground represents the first integrated and long-term effort to stand beside First Nations families while they design the future they want for their children. It means putting the next generation first. It means prioritising people's family language, culture, identity and country. It means prioritising lifelong learning and wellbeing of children from birth. It means creating opportunities that will build opportunity in global and local economies.

We cannot accept conditions that lead to children living with life-long risks of incarceration, ill health, child protection and cultural stress. The current approaches are unacceptable and need to change. All children deserve the best life has to offer and to be honoured in their cultures. This is Children’s Ground.

Children’s Ground strives to end complex and extreme injustice and disadvantage by transforming the system and evidencing a new approach that is designed with First Nations people, celebrating First People’s culture and knowledge. Together we address the key social, cultural and economic determinants to ensure every child born in that community today can enjoy a life of opportunity and wellbeing. This 25-year approach aspires to excellence, recognising that children, families and communities who need the most deserve the best, that they are the experts in their own lives and that it is their voice and talent that will create change.
