About Our Auction

Many Canadians are dying needlessly waiting for an organ transplant. Once a world leader in organ donation, Canada has dropped to 23rd. Close to 5000 Canadians are waiting for an organ donation today - 80% need a kidney. Of those, 40% will never get one and or die waiting.

The Cherry family knows first-hand about organ donation. Don’s son, Tim, received a kidney transplant from daughter, Cindy, while Don was coaching the Boston Bruins. RE/MAX has a long history of supporting Organ Donation Awareness.

Together, RE/MAX and the WHL have a great opportunity to work with the Cherry family to increase awareness of Organ Donation throughout Western Canada through the hosting of this WHL League-Wide Theme Night initiative.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes wore Don Cherry themed jerseys on October 27th and are auctioning them off with all proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation.
