Community is at the Center directly supports the J. Walter Cameron Center's role as a nonprofit ecosystem, where 26 resident agencies provide essential services across health, keiki and family support, kupuna programs, social services, education, and the arts.

Funds raised through ticket sales and the auction provide flexible general operating support—critical to sustaining the Center’s model. This funding allows us to maintain affordable rents, enhance shared meeting and program spaces, and ensure our resident agencies can focus their resources on direct service rather than overhead. It also supports ongoing facility improvements that expand capacity and efficiency.

The Cameron Center multiplies impact by housing nonprofits in one location, fostering collaboration and reducing costs. Collectively, our agencies serve more than 65,000 individuals annually.

Your support ensures that vital services remain accessible and coordinated for those who need them most. 

 The mission of the Cameron Center serves to incubate, support and accelerate social good in our community. Throughout its 53 year history, the Cameron Center has acted as a central hub for numerous nonprofit social service agencies, enabling them to deliver 100s of direct services and programs each year to over 65,000 individuals throughout Maui County. The Center is a vital connection point between our Maui ‘ohana and the programs they need to grow, thrive and reach their full potential.  Currently, the Center is home to 26 resident agencies and has another 18 organizations on the waiting list for space.
