About Our Auction

On Saturday, November 13th, CCWF will hold its first ever “Kids and Crafts Fair”, a family FUNdraiser, at the historic Baker Community Center, 101 S 2nd St, St. Charles, IL 60174.

Children need opportunities for positive experiences and they need to learn from positive community interactions. This event will allow them to do some activities one-on-one with event leaders, but also to do group activities, and family-based activities. Kids will be exposed to a variety of arts, crafts, games and even creative opportunities (writing/improv) that will help them express themselves - and know how to do some very cost-effective projects in the future to continue their self-expression in positive ways.

About Changing Children's Worlds Foundation

Changing Children's Worlds Foundation (CCWF) Vision:

For every child and adolescent to be supported in positive development by caregivers and professionals within loving, non-violent families and peaceful communities.

ICDP-USA Mission:

The International Child/Parenting Development Program (ICDP) aims to develop and sustain quality interaction between caregivers and their children through our Family Program. The ICDP approach is based on the idea that the best way to help children is to support and educate children’s ecologies. Our intergenerational approach supports the positive growth & development of a child’s full network of parents/family at home and caregivers at school and in other services, helping to create a stable, protective and positive environment - and nurturing, modeling for the child’s positive development and well-being.

Goal:

The goals of ICDP are to strengthen intrafamilial empathy and relationships, through social/emotional learning & modeling for parents/caregivers to help their children with emotional communications and interactions, to help them support their children to learn and lead (cognitive skills), and to help them demonstrate and support their children’s development of problem solving skills, self-control/ self-discipline, and responsibility through positive guidance, versus punitive discipline.
