4th Annual Mainstreet Banner Auction

The 4th Annual Main Street Banner Project – Peace Starts Here celebrates the incredible creativity of our local artists while raising funds to support community art initiatives through the Caroline County Council of Arts (CCCA). Each hand-painted banner brightens Denton’s Main Street as part of this annual public art project, sharing a message of hope, unity, and the belief that peace begins within our own community.

Proceeds from the banner program and auction are shared 70% with the artists and 30% with the CCCA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Caroline County. These funds help sustain public art programs, youth workshops, exhibitions, and creative opportunities that enrich our community year-round.

Together, we’re spreading a message that peace starts here — one banner, one artist, and one act of creativity at a time. 

For over 40 years, Caroline County Council of Arts has served the residents of Caroline County, Maryland by pursuing our mission to:

• Enhance the cultural opportunities and access to the arts in each of the County’s unique communities.

• Promote economic development and downtown revitalization through the arts.

• Inspire creativity and personal development by supporting arts education programs in our schools and communities.

The Caroline County Council of Arts proudly operates The Foundry Co-op Gallery, a vibrant space where artists can display and sell their work, and the community can experience and engage with the arts. Through classes and workshops, we inspire creativity, nurture talent, and bring people together to explore a variety of artistic mediums. Located in the heart of the Denton Artsway, our state-designated Arts & Entertainment District, The Foundry is surrounded by a rich array of cultural offerings, including The Fiber Arts Center of the Eastern Shore (FACES), a sister organization that beautifully complements our mission to elevate the arts in our community.
