About Our Auction

Welcome to our annual fundraiser to support the programs we run to benefit youth in Calvert County, Maryland! Currently, we operate the following programs: Back to School Event, Youth Sports Scholarships, The Great Book Giveaway, Christmas Cheer Program, Community Care Initiative, and Memorial Scholarship Program.

Although this year's auction has less than half of the items to bid on as previous year's auctions, we are very grateful to our donors for the items we have received! So take your time and browse our auction offerings. Shop for yourself, your spouse, your kids, your friends, or Mom and Dad (many items would make great gifts for Mother's Day or Father's Day. )

If you don't find anything you want to bid on but still want to support our work in Calvert County, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation, by clicking the green Donate button on the top right-hand corner of the auction homepage.

About Children's Aid, Inc.

Children's Aid, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit located in Calvert County, Maryland. Through our programs, we provide assistance to local children in need by promoting the importance of education and literacy as well as providing children with opportunities for physical activity.

Currently, we operate several programs. The Fresh Start Back to School Event (formerly Operation Backpack) provides children with a new backpack filled with new school supplies. To date, 2000 local students have participated in the program and were able to start the new school year with the supplies they needed.

In an effort to provide at-risk children with opportunities for physical activity, we provide Youth Sports Scholarships for a variety of activities, including football, soccer, basketball, and baseball for elementary school students. The purpose of the Great Book Giveaway Program is twofold: to give books to children who otherwise might not have books (or many books) of their own and to educate parents on the importance of reading aloud to their young children.

The Christmas Cheer Program provides filled Christmas Stockings to youth participants of the local Shop with a Cop program. The Memorial Scholarship Program grants a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing a degree in Education and a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education toward accredited vocational certification or an Associate's Degree.
