Australian Bushfires Fundraiser

As a past resident of the Gippsland community for over 18 years, it's very sad to see the devastation from the current bushfires in the area and throughout the rest of Australia.

A lot of people over here in Houston have asked how they can help, and after reaching out to people back home, we have decided to start a fundraiser over here in Houston (and beyond) to help the people back home in Australia.

I am raising money for the Gippsland area, more specifically, helping re-home displaced Indigenous Australians in the Gippsland area and also the GERF (Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund).
I am currently researching which Gippsland Indigenous charity will benefit the most from our fundraising. The funds will be split 50-50 between these charities.

A lot of money has been raised already by the big charities, but it's the small volunteer-run charities that are being overlooked and they need all the help they can get.

I am working with some Houston businesses and people to get this fundraising auction going, so we can make more of an impact.

This fundraiser will close on February 14th after which I will attempt to personally deliver the funds raised to these charities.
