The Buddy Fund 58th Golf Classic & Auction

The Golf Classic and Auction is the main annual fundraiser for the Buddy Fund. The funds raised are used to help at-risk, underserved youth by directly providing non-profit youth organizations, schools, and foster and group homes with new sporting and recreation equipment and supplies.

By bidding on auction items, donating through Fund A Need or making, YOU can put a ball into the hands of a youth and make a Big Impact in their lives!

Every dollar donated is doubled because of our longstanding relationship with our vendors to purchase at cost or below.

Sports create a positive, impactful effect on the at-risk youth by living and learning about a healthy lifestyle.

This year we are helping a record number of 74 non-profit youth organizations. The need has never been greater. Our total goal this year is $300,000 for the Golf Classic, the auction and our sponsorships.

Who We Are:
The Buddy Fund is a 501(c)(3) charity helping St. Louis area children without regard to race, ethnicity or religion. It was founded in 1962 by St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Hawks player/sportscaster Buddy Blattner to help redirect the lives of underserved and at-risk youth by supplying sports and recreation equipment to charities and organizations in our communities.

Our Mission:
We serve our local at-risk youth in partnership with dedicated schools, recreation, and youth organizations by providing new sports and recreation equipment to create opportunities for development of their physical and mental health, confidence and character, teamwork and respect for others, and academic expectations and personal responsibility.

Our Accomplishments:
Each year, we provide new sports equipment to youth organizations that have direct access to the at-risk underserved youth. Since 1962, cumulative efforts by The Buddy Fund have helped over 500,000 youngsters and provided more than $5,000,000 in sports and recreation equipment and supplies. Every dollar donated is nearly doubled because of our longstanding relationship with the equipment vendors which allows purchase of the equipment at a reduced price.
