Brighter Days Fundraiser

FUNDRAISER UPDATE
Thank you so much for your interest in and support of our Brighter Days Fundraiser. We appreciate it very much!

We have had some unexpected challenges with the timing of this fundraising event. In order to ensure the success of the event and fully support the mental health of our youth, we will be relaunching and promoting the event from September 9th thru September 23rd. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We realize that a few of the auction items are time sensitive. We will be reaching out to those who have bid on these items with further direction.

The auction site will still be active and participants may still bid thru 5 pm on September 23rd. We will start promoting the event again in early September.

ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER
• One In Six U.S. Youth Aged 6-17 Experience A Mental Health Disorder Each Year
• 70 Percent Of Those Do Not Receive Adequate Or Timely Services Or Support
• Approximately 50 Percent Of Mental Health Disorders Begin By The Age Of 14

The need for mental health services has been amplified with the Covid-19 pandemic. Youth have been forced out of their routines, into a new type of learning, and into isolation. Undiagnosed, untreated, or inadequately treated mental health conditions can affect a student’s ability to learn, grow, and develop. Increasing mental health awareness is key to reducing stigma and ensuring youth are connected to proper resources and support.

REAL is conducting this auction in partnership with Bay East Foundation, Tax ID# 94-2519726. Funds will be donated directly to the Livermore Unified School District to ensure that current mental health training programs will continue and have further reach to additional school sites.

We invite you to please support this fundraiser and the mental health and well-being of our students.

You may participate in two ways:

1) Donate money directly to one of the four causes below:

Need #1 - Youth Mental Health First Aid Training - Goal: $18,000
Need #2 - Teen Mental Health First Aid Training - Goal: $7,000
Need #3 - Calming Kits - Goal: $1,400
Need #4 - Wellness Center - Goal: $3,000 +
