Before I started working for Brave Heart Volunteers, I was a volunteer. One of my most meaningful visits was with a woman in her final days. She loved playing cards, so that’s what we did—hand after hand, laughing at my bad luck, sharing quiet moments between turns. There wasn’t much to say, but there didn’t need to be. It was about presence, about showing up. She passed not long after, and I’ll always be grateful for that time we had together.

That’s the heart of our work. We provide free support for those facing loss, illness, and the end of life. We sit with people in their hardest moments, ensuring they are not alone. Every dollar raised in this auction allows us to continue this work. Thank you for being part of it.
