What is the El Rincon Booster Club?

The El Rincon Booster Club is committed to bettering El Rincon Elementary through connection, enrichment, and support by nurturing educational excellence, safeguarding staff and teacher support, and strengthening our Rocket community.


What are we fundraising for?

As district-wide budget cuts continue to strip away access to essential resources—such as intervention programs, classroom aides, science programs, technology specialists, and enrichment opportunities—our work has become indispensable. In close partnership with our PTA, the Booster Club acts as a critical bridge, stepping in where funding restrictions exist to protect students from losing the programs, support, and educational experiences that are foundational to their success.

In recent years, the Booster Club has proudly and ambitiously initiated and sustained afterschool enrichment programs including Math Olympiads and Challenges, Robotics Competitions and Clubs, Girls Who Code, LEGO STEM Club, and Enhanced Recess programming. These initiatives are designed to ensure students have access to a well-rounded, engaging, and robust educational experience that is free or low-cost.​At the same time, we are working diligently to ensure the long-term sustainability of these programs while also maintaining responsible financial reserves. This approach allows us to be prepared—when permitted by the district office—to invest in additional campus support such as hiring classroom aides and interventionists.

We remain in close collaboration with other district-wide Booster Clubs and Culver City Education Foundation to collectively navigate the challenges posed by ongoing budget cuts and to shield our scholars, as much as possible, from their impact.​

We are an independent, parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit solely dedicated to El Rincon Elementary School. 

Our Funding Purpose and Process 

The funds raised through the El Rincon Booster Club strengthen programs for our students and supplement the school’s budget. We accept direct donations year-round and focus our fundraising efforts on our annual Booster Blast event and silent auction each spring. 

Working In Tandem — El Rincon’s Support Organizations 

El Rincon Elementary School thrives because of our dedicated families who generously share their time, energy, and resources. Our school’s support comes to life through two dedicated nonprofit organizations: the El Rincon Booster Club and the El Rincon PTA.

The El Rincon Booster Club works in tandem with El Rincon PTA to strengthen and support El Rincon Elementary School. Because the Booster Club is an independent organization and not bound by the bylaws of a larger governing body, we have greater flexibility to provide funding and resources in areas where others may face limitations. 

We work closely with school administration to identify areas of greatest need and determine where our efforts can make the most meaningful impact. While we collaborate very closely with our nonprofit partners, our superpower lies in our ability to provide resources and funding to the school in ways others cannot.
