About Our Auction

These birds are for sale by a pet breeder in Springvale, Melbourne who contacted the BSSA and asked to be involved in our online auctions. The majority of birds being auctioned have bloodlines from Christine Sabateen in South Australia, and these bloodlines have been bred and improved over the past 15 years.
Christine was a very popular breeder for well over 10 years and specialised in Frillbacks, Texas Clearbodies, White Caps, Dilutes and not to mention some of the best crests ever seen. You will notice all of the birds are crest bred with many being tuffed crested and/or Frillbacks.    I bred with Christine's lines for some 2 and a half years before getting ill health and having to hand over my breeding lines to Jason Wildback as he has lots of knowledge. We introduced Steven Bradley's quality show lines. Steven is very well known for his results in the Nationals with some of the best crest around. We have introduced his lines to increase bird size and produce larger crests and frillbacks which has well and truly produced what we had hoped for. We are now sharing some of our younger birds for others to enjoy!  Pick up can be available from Springvale or Melton.
The BSSA would love to see more pet/coloured hobbyists become involved with our Clubs throughout Australia.  Most of our guest speakers at Club meetings would impart fantastic and practical knowledge to all hobbyists, whether they be exhibition breeders or pet breeders.

All descriptions of birds are taken in good faith from the seller.
BSSA Inc is not responsible for any inaccuracies and these must be addressed with the seller.
Please note bids will remain anonymous and only your bidder number will show.
Please be aware of the location of bird as the freight cost is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Please register phone number as this will ease the contact process if you are a successful bidder.
The BSSA is a not for profit organisation and all proceeds go towards the promotion of the club and the hobby.
