Silent Auction Rules
Participation & Bidding
- By registering, you agree to these rules and any additional terms posted during the event.
- Items may be added or removed at any time.
- All bids must be placed electronically through the auction platform and must meet the minimum bid increment.
- The auction closes at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Items receiving a bid in the final 3 minutes will extend by 3 minutes, up to a 30‑minute maximum.
- The highest qualifying bid at closing is the winning bid.
- The Boston Sea Rovers is not responsible for technical issues, connectivity problems, or delays in bid submission.
- In the event of a dispute, the Boston Sea Rovers’ decision is final.
- Winners will be notified as the auction closes, via email and/or text message.
- Payment is due immediately and must be shown at checkout to collect winnings.
- Physical items must be picked between 3:00–4:00 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
- To discuss shipping or alternate pickup arrangements, contact the Silent Auction Team before the auction closes.
- Some items include restrictions, blackout dates, or availability limitations as noted in the item description or on gift certificates.
- Donor terms and conditions govern redemption and availability.
- For services, experiences, or custom items, winners may need to contact the donor directly to arrange fulfillment. Instructions will be provided after the auction closes.
- All sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or cash redemptions.
- The Boston Sea Rovers is not responsible for items left unclaimed after the event.
- By bidding, you assume all risks associated with participation and item use and agree to hold harmless the Boston Sea Rovers, our members, volunteers, donors, and sponsors.
- The Boston Sea Rovers is not responsible for technical issues, connectivity problems, or delays in bid submission.
- Item values listed are good‑faith estimates of Fair Market Value (FMV).
- The Boston Sea Rovers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Any amount paid above FMV may be tax‑deductible; please consult your tax advisor.
About Boston Sea Rovers
The Boston Sea Rovers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer-run organization dedicated to our mission of “Raising the Knowledge of the Underwater World”.
Proceeds from the silent auction are used to help produce the show each year, including a world renowned film festival, over forty daytime seminars, workshops focused on hands-on training, and an exhibit hall filled with equipment and training vendors, travel destinations, dive clubs, and more. Proceeds are also used to support our special programs like the Boston Sea Rovers Summer Internship and the Boston Sea Rovers Dive Training Scholarship.
