About Our Auction
The Bitter Root Humane Association (BRHA), like all businesses this last year, has suffered financially from the COVID-19 crisis. Although we have kept our doors open to provide all our normal services to the community, our donations support has significantly dropped and to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and the community we felt the need to cancel our two largest annual fundraisers, the Festival of Wreaths and Cookie Walk & Bake Sale.
We're hoping that our "Happy Tails" Holiday Auction will bring the spirit of the season to our friends & supporters and in turn help us to raise at least $10,000.00 of our $300,000+ annual operating budget.
Big thanks to all our auction donors and new items will be added up till one hour before the auction ends! We're sure with item values from $10 to priceless, you'll find the perfect gift for everyone on your holiday list...and yourself too! PREVIEW OPEN NOW, BIDDING OPENS 11/26 Thanksgiving @ 6pm and BIDDING CLOSES 11/30 Cyber Monday @ 6pm
Auction bidding not for you? We understand completely so please take advantage of our "Buy-It-Now" option on each item, placing an escalating bid or if you'd just like to donate to BRHA just hit the Donate button at the top of the auction home page!
From all of us at BRHA Thank You for your support and we wish you a safe, happy & healthy holiday season!
About Bitter Root Humane Association
Since 1972, we have been caring for, loving and supporting the homeless animals and pets of the Bitterroot Valley and beyond. We are the only "open admission" shelter in Western Montana and no animal in need is turned away and we have no time limits to their stay. When people call in frantic about a lost pet...we answer. When there is a community emergency...we stand ready to help. Because there is a continuing and enduring need for the shelter...we will be here!
Our current shelter, built in 1985, has served us well and no one could have guessed, at that time, how many animals would find safety, protection and a new future home through our doors. But, the building is no longer safe or functional for our staff, volunteers, the public and most of all the animals that call us home. Our dream of a new facility is now coming true as we build what should last many, many years into the future and continue to serve our community as we have for the past 48 years.
Our annual operating budget of $300,000+ and our current Capital Campaign to build our new shelter is funded strictly through generous donations without any taxpayer funding. We hope you will join us in showing your support for our mission by participating in our "Happy Tails" Holiday Auction...without you, we couldn't do what we do! Thank You for Your Support!
