Brass on Tap Online 2020 Silent Auction

Copper Street Brass has been a thriving non-profit arts organization for 11 years and is the only full-time music group of its kind in the region. Our focus is to bring education and outreach programming to schools and underserved communities like assisted living residences, inner city schools, and rural areas where people have little access to the arts. In addition, we produce our own concert series around the Twin Cities metro area, presenting one-of-a-kind entertainment for music lovers of all ages. Each year we serve more than 10,000 people in 150+ outreach programs and concerts in communities across the Midwest.

Every spring we host our most important fundraising event of the season called Brass on Tap. The funds raised at Brass on Tap fund our education and outreach programs, helping to cover the costs of our visits that our school and community partners often don’t have a budget to pay themselves. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now holding this event online!

The current COVID-19 crisis has created an unsettling time for all of us, especially for arts and community organizations like ours. We’ve been forced to cancel or postpone nearly all of our outreach visits to schools and assisted living facilities - meaning our income for this spring has mostly vanished. However even in these uncharted waters, Copper Street Brass is continuing our critical work in any and all ways that we are able. Your support of our Silent Auction goes DIRECTLY to support our many programs! Thank you for your support, and be well!

About Copper Street Brass

The mission of the Copper Street Brass (CSB) is to represent the Evolution of the Brass Quintet. Through inventive concerts, engaging educational programs, and original musical arrangements, we bring a fresh perspective to instrumental music. To express our artistic voice, we use a dazzling fusion of brass, keyboard, guitar, percussion, and electronic instruments to appeal to a universal audience and go beyond ordinary.

The CSB leads over 100 educational and outreach programs each season, serving thousands of children through older adults facing dementia every year. Our excellence in educational programming makes us a valuable partner. We are a COMPAS Teaching Artist, we've served three times as Artists in Residence for Minnesota Public Radio's Class Notes program and we've recently presented educational services in partnership with The Schubert Club and Minnesota Orchestra.
