Proceeds from this action will support museum education programming which includes monthly Art Activity Days where people of all ages can drop in an make memories and art together. Art After Dark events when the museum is open on Thursday nights until 8pm, events with visiting artists like Joyce J. Scott and free admission for everyone, always.
About Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass
Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass is an accredited art museum located in the Fox Cities region of Wisconsin, 200 miles north of Chicago. The art museum opened in 1959 to house the largest collection of glass paperweights in the world. The museum collection has expanded to include antique Germanic drinking vessels, Victorian art glass and contemporary studio glass sculpture.
The museum focuses solely on glass offering temporary exhibitions in this captivating medium.
The Glass Studio at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass offers public instruction in flame working and kiln-formed glass making techniques throughout the year for youth and adults. General admission is free, always.
The museum operates as a 501(c)3 not for profit organization to fulfill its mission to Engage, Excite and Educate our regional and global audiences using our world renowned glass paperweights, glass collections and changing exhibitions.

THE DISH on JOYCE J. SCOTT
Joyce J. Scott is a visual and performance artist best known for her depictions of racially and politically charged subjects that she crafts from beads, glass, fiber and found objects. She is a gifted storyteller with a narrative influenced by a cultural cornucopia and delivered through sculpture and song.
Scott was recognized in 2016 as a MacArthur Foundation Fellow and named a Smithsonian Visionary Artist in 2019. Her work is included in the current exhibition, Reflecting Perspectives: Artists Confront Issues of Diversity and Inclusion, at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass. Scott’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, the Baltimore Art Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Corning Museum of Glass and many other renowned institutions.
