2025 A Not-So-Silent Night at the Library

Our 2025 A Not-so-Silent Night at the Library fundraiser party will be held in the library's NEW Community Room on Saturday, December 13th from 6–9pm.  Tickets are available for the event at the library or on our website for $25 per person. The online silent auction will start on December 5th at Noon & ends on December 13th at 8:00pm during the event. Whether you party with us in-person or from home, you can still win!  Your support will help the library provide more books, programs, & services to the Buchanan community.

YOUR Buchanan District Library is a main staple in the community.  The beautiful downtown building houses nearly 52,000 materials including books, movies, magazines, newspapers, video games & a comprehensive local history collection.  The Library of Things has over 260 items to check out such as games & puzzles, lawn & garden tools, medical equipment, musical instruments, science kits & so much more.  This selection of materials along with providing free computer access, varied programs for children & adults & much needed community outreach led to over 51,000 visitors this past year!  The Seed Library distributed over 1500 packets of seeds this year to at least 120 families in our community absolutely FREE!  The library is also a safe place for children to come after school to work on homework, use a computer or visit with friends.  Please consider supporting your local downtown community hub!
