Your support helps more than 360 young people aged 12–24 across Bermuda build the human skills, confidence, and employability to become tomorrow's leaders. In 2025 alone, our participants generated $1.74 million in measurable social value for the island, independently validated by PwC, with a further $3.3 million in projected future value as these young people continue to give back for years to come. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a unique, character-building programme that fosters personal growth through participation in challenging and non-competitive activities of community service, personal skills, physical recreation and adventurous journeys. It's the world's leading, internationally recognised and accredited Youth Development Achievement Award, favoured by employers and higher learning institutions alike. It provides non-formal education and helps to develop skills that are not always learned in a traditional classroom setting. 

The Award is a sustainable model for philanthropy and lays a foundation for participants to make positive choices that support healthy lifestyles. Your support creates impact across the board, for volunteers, participants, and the community. In 2025 alone, 362 participants logged more than 74,150 hours of activity, including 17,250 hours of voluntary service given back to non-profits across the island, creating tremendous impact and providing a valuable service to many in our community. The impact lasts well beyond the Award itself: our Alumni data shows that 55% of Award holders are still volunteering regularly more than 20 years later, compared to just 28.3% of the general population.
