About Our Auction

On November 4, 2018 the Autism Society of Texas is hosting our 3rd Annual Autism Film Festival. This event provides awareness and acceptance of individuals with autism, and provides funding so we can provide free supports, recreational opportunities, and information and referrals to families whose children have autism, or to adults with autism who are seeking services and support.

Autism Film Festival
Sunday, November 4, 2018, 4-9 pm
AFS Cinema, Austin, Texas

The Autism Film Festival will honor our Autism Stars that have helped pave the way for others newly diagnosed, and will raise funds towards expansion of our adult programming for employment, social skills, recreation and transitional services by funding the Hunter Hinze Adult Scholarship Fund.

With the prevalence of autism now at 1 in 59, the requests for help from our organization are increasing dramatically. In January 2017, we expanded from serving 24 counties in Central Texas, to becoming statewide. The Autism Society of Texas now provides free information & referrals for the entire state. We respond to thousands of inquiries each year about diagnosis, treatment, interventions, educational options, social services, and resources. We serve all ages and stages of autism.

About Autism Society of Texas

Autism Society of Texas' mission is to promote and advocate for the general welfare of persons with autism by:

Advocating for the education and training of parents and professionals involved in the educating and caring for persons with autism;

Helping develop a better understanding of the challenges of persons with autism and their families throughout Texas by serving as a clearinghouse for the gathering and disseminating of information regarding autism; and

Sharing information with families to enable them to better understand autism by providing them with pertinent and current information through monthly meetings, workshops, and a newsletter so parents may be better advocates for their children with autism, and adults with autism have resources and support.
