About Our Auction
Welcome to the Third Online Silent Auction for Apalachicola Riverkeeper, a nonprofit organization that works to protect and restore the Apalachicola River and Bay. We are often the only line of defense against environmental threats such as degradation of water quality through pollution. We advocate at the grass roots level and with local elected officials, state legislators, in the courts, and the Halls of Congress, to keep the Apalachicola River a true environmental treasure.
About Apalachicola Riverkeeper
Apalachicola Riverkeeper, a member of Waterkeepers Florida and the international Waterkeeper Alliance, is dedicated to protecting the Apalachicola River and Bay through advocacy, outreach, education and collaborative research. Apalachicola Riverkeeper patrols the river conducting visual surveys and provides independent water quality monitoring including micro plastics sampling. Apalachicola Riverkeeper launched a multi-year slough restoration project funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to restore the connection of three primary slough systems in the Apalachicola River watershed during times of low flow, feeding the floodplain and bay ecosystem with vital freshwater and nutrients.
