About Our Art Auction

For the first time ever we will be offering our Art Auction online!

The Auction features 26 local artists from a variety of mediums graciously splitting the proceeds 50/50 with our organization. This event would not be possible without their support.

The Auction starts on April 7 at 6 p.m. and closes on April 16 at 8 p.m. We would like to invite you to our VIP event, in person, on April 7 from 6-9 p.m. at the Art School of Peterborough.

This event is sponsored by Sarah Evans at Century 21 and catering is donated by The Food Shop and Revelstoke Cafe!

About Art School of Peterborough

For the past 30 years the Art School of Peterborough has offered the Peterborough community opportunities to explore their creativity and build their visual art skills.

Founded in 1993 by Richard Hayman as a not-for-profit organization, his dedication to the arts and spirit lives on through The Art School. It has been my privilege to continue his vision of bringing accessible art programming to our community. Over the last few years, resilience has been key to survival. We have pushed boundaries and translated our programming in exciting new ways. As our circumstances are continuously changing, I am proud to navigate the school’s programming to be adaptable and accessible to all.

The Art School of Peterborough is dedicated to facilitating and encouraging the growth of creativity and skills in visual art forms for everyone.

The Art School Mission Statement
I am forever thankful for my dedicated professional instructors, backed by a supportive board, staff, and many volunteers. Though the Art School’s wonderful creative energy could not exist without our students. They are the heart and soul of our establishment, they are the reason we do what we do. They bring the school to life. It is my goal to ensure they feel part of our inclusive creative community and offer them new programming opportunities to allow them to develop and grow as artistic individuals.

2024 marks our 30th Anniversary as a not-for-profit organization and I’m extremely proud of our accomplishments over the years and continually strive to reach a broader audience.

I welcome you into our creative community. It is a safe place to take creative risks for all ages.
