About Our Auction
Arcade Comedy Theater is proud to present its 2019 Board of Directors Silent Auction, taking place online from Friday, September 27 at 6pm to Sunday, October 6 at 9pm. The Silent Auction is one of our top fundraising events each year, bringing together the comedy community, local businesses, donors, and artists in Pittsburgh. Proceeds from the silent auction directly support Arcade Comedy Theater, Pittsburgh’s only non-profit organization dedicated to elevating and advancing the art of comedy.
Your support contributes to Arcade's proud distinction as the Cultural District's most reliably affordable entertainment option, and allows us to explore bolder, more innovative and dynamic comedy programming. We believe that laughter makes communities stronger and individuals better. With 9 different shows a week across two stages, every week of the year, your support creates an immediate impact on the Arcade community.
10/4/19 UPDATE: We’ve got under 54 hours left in the silent auction, you’ve all blown us away with your generosity...AND you’ve impressed a donor! While the original goal for the auction was $5,000, if we can hit $9,000 by Sunday at 9pm, a generous donor has agreed to match another $3,000. Please help us hit this goal by bidding this weekend--$9,000 is not far away! Your gifts go toward Arcade’s non-profit programming and help give Pittsburgh more laughs. Don’t want any items? The match works for regular donations during the silent auction too. Visit arcadecomedytheater.com/fundraising to give online.
About Arcade Comedy Theater
Arcade Comedy Theater was founded in 2013 as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to elevating and advancing the art of comedy in Pittsburgh. Arcade produces and presents comedy each and every week, including improv, sketch, standup, and family programming. Arcade has been named the “Best Place to See Live Comedy” by the readers of Pittsburgh Magazine multiple times and has been featured in WQED, Yahoo News, and Paste Magazine. In 2020, the theater presented over 125 online shows to 30,000+ viewers, taught 19 online classes and workshops to 110 students. When the theater could safely conduct outdoor events, 555 audience members attended 24 outdoor shows, featuring 104 artists, and 47 Arcade Academy students were able to stretch their comedy muscles at 19 drop-in outdoor classes. While 2020 brought immense challenges, the theater’s community found ways to thrive and create, earning a number of fan-favorite rankings and press accolades including 2nd Best Theater Company from Pittsburgh City Paper’s 2020 Best of Pittsburgh awards.
