About Our Auction

We have selected three charities to support a "heart health" theme this year. These charities will receive all the funds raised through events (online auction, 50/50 etc.)

Did you know that heart disease is the number one global killer? Learn how our three feature charities are helping to support families and individuals suffering with heart health concerns.

HEART BEATS (Calgary)
Heart Beats provides emotional support for children with congenital heart defects (CHD) and their families through one-on-one support, hospital visits, parent groups, Offbeats for CHD youth in Junior and Senior High, and a variety of family events throughout the year.

CHILDREN'S HEART SOCIETY (CHS) (Edmonton)
CHS was founded in 1982 by a group of moms looking for support to deal with their children's heart conditions. To date, CHS has raised thousands of dollars towards research into pediatric heart disease and CHS volunteers have donated hundreds of thousands of hours to supporting heart kids & families in the Edmonton area.

HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION OF CANADA (All locations outside of Calgary and Edmonton)
Heart & Stroke’s critical priority is to invest in life-saving research that leads to medical breakthroughs. Together, heart disease and stroke are the second leading cause of death and a leading cause of disability in Canada, and take one life every five minutes in Canada.

About ATCO EPIC

Our ATCO EPIC program is a grassroots initiative involving employee-led committees that plan, implement and administer workplace fundraising campaigns. The program combines fundraising events, auctions, friendly team competitions and employee pledges. Altogether, the program supports more than 800 charitable and non-profit organizations around the world.

In 2022, our people raised $3.6 million for charities - bringing the total program contributions since 2006 to nearly $54 million, alongside 257,000 volunteer hours over that same time period!
