Give your walls some love!

We're all spending a lot of time at home right now. If we're going to be staring at our walls for days on end, why not make those walls more beautiful? Arts for Oakland Kids (AOK) invites you to participate in our first-ever online art auction to support arts education in Oakland. This inaugural auction features a wide variety of work from artist Diane Dunwoodie, an abstract painter who is also an Arts for Oakland Kids' Board member. Diane is donating her work, so nearly every dollar will go directly to AOK.

While AOK has cancelled our scheduled in-person fundraising efforts during the COVID 19 pandemic, our art auction allows us to raise funds virtually so we can continue supporting hands-on arts education in Oakland's most financially challenged schools. This is your chance to build your personal art collection, while helping us build our capacity to bring art to every public school student in Oakland.

Arts for Oakland Kids is a 501(c)(3) fund with a mission to advance arts justice by ensuring that all students in under-resourced Oakland public schools receive a comprehensive arts education in order to improve learning and promote achievement. We envision a world in which the power of arts education is fully recognized, and every public school student – regardless of race, background, or wealth – is given equitable access to the advantages of a comprehensive arts education, enabling them to reach their intellectual, social, and emotional potential. Since 1996, we have reached 25,000 kids in 95 public schools and awarded $815,000+ to artists/teachers for 192 arts programs.
