2022 Wooden Bowl Auction

Since the 2017 Strike Out! ALS Gala & Auction, the North Coast Woodturners (NCWT) have contributed their beautiful handiwork to the silent auction as a memorial to their friend, mentor, and master craftsman, Jim Pugh.

An avid member of the NCWT and a frequent demonstrator, Jim was diagnosed in December 2014 with ALS. Even when he had lost the use of his hands, he continued to give instruction and host demonstrations. Jim left behind many rough-turned wood bowls when he lost his battle with ALS in January 2016. In his memory, the members of the North Coast Woodturners finished these bowls for the 2017 Strike Out! ALS Gala & Auction.

The NCWT continue to provide one-of-a-kind masterpieces for auction. We invite you to bid on a fantastic selection of wooden bowls.

All proceeds from this charity auction will help fund The ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter and its mission to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The Association covers all the bases — patient and community services, research, public education, and advocacy — in providing help and hope to those facing the disease. The Northern Ohio Chapter supports people living with ALS and their loved ones through services and education.
