About Our Auction

The Amston Lake District (ALD) is holding our second annual online auction! Each winter there are a few boats that people leave behind, and while we do our best to find the owners over the following months, a few boats always remain. Consequently, this fall the ALD is auctioning off two unclaimed canoes, a 5-person paddleboat, an aluminum boat, an EZ Dock gangway, and once again, a special surprise item. Boats can be viewed at the ALD lot at the corner of West Island Beach and Bush Rds in Lebanon. The gangway is made of the same polyethylene material as the docks at Main and Lollipop - and can be viewed by appointment. See item listings for details. Proceeds from this sale will go into the ALD General Fund.

About Amston Lake Distict

Amston Lake is a beautiful 188-acre lake located in the towns of Hebron, Lebanon and Colchester, Connecticut. The lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Connecticut and is crystal clear because gas motors of any kind are not allowed on the lake.

The Amston Lake Tax District was created in 2002 by a special act of the Connecticut General Assembly. The District is managed by a municipal government run by a nine-member board of directors whose mission statement is to promote lake health and resident safety. They are elected to oversee lake management, environmental monitoring, and neighborhood security. There are over 800 property owners in the Amston Lake District.
