Since our founding by a group of dedicated volunteers in 1974, the AGP has been sustained by the contributions of members and donors. Communities need art, now more than ever. Help us continue in our work of making groundbreaking exhibitions, engaging programs, and invaluable educational opportunities accessible to everyone.

This year, we’re offering works by an exceptional roster of artists from the region and beyond who have been engaged with the AGP and our audiences through past exhibitions, the AGP Gallery Shop, the Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour and past fundraisers.

The Art Gallery of Peterborough is a non-profit public gallery dedicated to exhibiting and collecting visual works of art.

Our goal is to present contemporary visual art by artists from the region and across the nation. Some historical and international works are also shown. Exhibitions are supported with programs including lectures, workshops, and publications. We make curatorial choices in selecting the work for each particular exhibition, whether it is featured in the main gallery or in the smaller exhibition areas.
