27th BEAUJOLAIS FESTIVAL ON-LINE AUCTION

The Alliance Française de Charlotte has been organizing the Charlotte Beaujolais Festival since 1993. The proceeds from the Charlotte Beaujolais Festival and this On-Line Auction will directly benefit French Education and French Cultural events in the Charlotte area, such as very affordable French classes, French library, grants for high school or college students’ projects in French, and support for Francophone communities.

This year we are focusing on helping the young children in the French immersion programs at Waddell language Academy in Charlotte, by providing more virtual teaching tools to teachers and free tutoring classes in French literacy for grades 1 to 5 for kids with little or no French environment at home during this challenging time. Thanks to the teachers we are targeting the children with most needs.

Alliance Française of Charlotte, founded in 1949, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to increase appreciation for the French language and Francophone cultures worldwide and, in so doing, reinforce the Franco-American friendship.

To fulfill this mission, AFC organizes monthly cultural events in the community, offers French classes and themed workshops, and funds two grants annually. AFC is also committed to providing a place where recent arrivals from Francophone nations can make significant connections with other French speakers in Charlotte.
