A Day For Charlotte

A Day for Charlotte is an event and auction to raise funds for Charlotte Avery's fight against leukemia.

On May 26, 2015 at 18 months of age Charlotte was diagnosed with leukemia. On May 27, 2015 a bone marrow biopsy confirmed that the type of leukemia is Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), the most curable form of childhood leukemia.

Unfortunately, after Charlotte’s discharge from hospital, all of the medications required for the 2.5 year treatment plan necessary for her full recovery are not covered by OHIP.

Beautiful Charlotte Avery was born on November 13, 2013.

From the get go Charlotte has been feisty and charming, renewing the old and mundane through her new adventurous eyes for all of us around her. Then her world changed.

Now her health journey begins. The 1st phase started May 29 with a 30-day chemotherapy treatment plan with the outcome of remission for Charlotte. From here Charlotte will start the 2nd phase of consolidation for 60 days and then the 3rd phase of maintenance for 2 years with the final outcome of a cancer free life for Charlotte.

Once discharged from the hospital much of her treatment will be administered by her Mommy. During this time Mommy will be home with Charlotte for the next 2.5 years.
