About Our Auction

21st Annual Scholarships Benefit
La Mesa-El Cajon, CA Branch
American Association of University Women (AAUW)

Through our scholarship benefits & the generous hearts of our donors & bidders, the La Mesa–El Cajon AAUW Branch has awarded five to ten college scholarships to local women every year & has provided educational enhancement opportunities for local girls through several programs.

• We pay for selected middle school girls to attend the Tech Trek program, a week-long science/math (STEM) camp held at UCSD with a remote attendance option this year.

• We support programs such as Speech Trek & First Female which give high school girls the opportunity to hone their public speaking & essay writing skills & to compete for monetary prizes.

• When school district policies permit, we offer Career Day presentations in which fifth-grade girls meet women in non-traditional professions & learn that there are many careers for women.

Your participation in this auction will help provide scholarships & enable more girls to participate in these worthwhile programs. Therefore, once the auction opens on April 22nd, bid early, bid often, & bid boldly--EVEN against your friendly competitors--because the funds are for a terrific cause!!!
