About Our Auction

Whistler resident Lynda Chyzyk is celebrating 40 years cancer free by paying it forward - paying it back by organizing a fundraiser to benefit Families Fighting Cancer in the Sea to Sky and Sea to Sky families living through cancer.

This event will be held at the Nita Lake Lodge on October 1, 2019.
It is now SOLD OUT! However, there is still a chance to get in on the amazing auction items up for bid!!
Lynda hopes to generate a bidding frenzy not possible by event attendees alone and thereby raise a greater amount of dollars for locals in need.
Show your support for Lynda's generosity and gratitude by participating in this online auction!

About families fighting cancer in the sea to sky

Our mission is to provide financial and other support and resources to families with dependant children in the Sea to Sky who have been hit by a cancer diagnosis. We strive to make access to the support needed much more accessible by the simple fact that we are volunteer-run, community based, passionate and have direct experience with challenges facing families in the corridor during cancer treatment. We are a partner with the non-profit organization Sea to Sky Community Services.
We rely on donations, fundraising and grants for our source of funds. In the 5 years since our formation we have raised in excess of $100,000 and are currently able to give $3000/calendar year to eligible families.
Whether you are a parent with cancer who have the responsibility of caring for dependent children or have a dependent child living with cancer, we understand the unique challenges you face living in the Sea to Sky Corridor and having to access treatment and other cancer care services outside of your community. Our founders have had their own personal experiences with cancer in their families giving them insight into the many challenges faced when living with cancer.
By being a community-based organization with a growing network of local volunteers we can provide passionate, accessible and flexible support. We have the ability to quickly and discreetly assess a family’s needs and provide support where it is most needed be it temporary financial assistance or arranging home-cooked meal delivery, pet sitting or walking, house cleaning, assistance locating accommodation close to hospital, recommending a variety of patient resources, etc.
If you, or someone you know, is in need of the type of support we can provide, please contact us by email at ffcseatosky@gmail.com, visit our website's contact page and fill in the application for financial assistance
