About Our Auction

 Funds from the auction are used to support the MHAO Breeders' Cup Futurity. This futurity is the last remaining Futurity in the Western Region of AMHA. The Futurity is designed as a 5-year plan that follows a newborn foal through its 4-year-old show season. Halter classes are offered in two divisions for 0-2 year olds – Traditional and Sport/Western.  Performance classes are offered for 2-4 year olds.  Sweepstakes halter classes are offered for both divisions for weanlings, yearlings and 2-year-olds. Bonus payments will be paid to the breeder and to the stallion donor when auction get win Champion or Reserve Champion in a Sweepstakes class. There is a high point award given to the Futurity horse with the highest number of points won after its last year in the Futurity.

The Morgan Horse Association of Oregon (MHAO) is a 501c5 membership association established July 11, 1958 to support the needs of Morgan horse owners within the state and to encourage the breeding, use, and exhibiting of registered Morgan horses as versatile family pleasure horses. Its purpose is to foster interest in the Morgan horse among horse lovers. Its programs include providing educational events, putting on a Morgan horse show, a monthly newsletter for members, scholarship support, a Stallion Service Auction and Futurity, an active Youth Program, High Point Awards to encourage competition in all aspects of equine sport, and a recognition program for hours spent riding or driving a Morgan horse. Advertising opportunities are also offered to members at a discount or to encourage inner trade. MHAO is recognized as one of the premier Morgan horse associations within the country.
