SECC Auction HHSC Finance & Operations Division

Last year for the SECC Campaign, the selected charity was Hope Alliance. Participating staff auctioned 49 items and gave donations raising $8,696.00! Some of the popular items auctioned were a Dallas Cowboys basket, a collection of assorted restaurant gift cards, a Happy Housewarming basket, a Son's Island gift certificate, a pickle basket, and a variety of gift cards.
This year, we are supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Central Texas.

CASA of Central Texas, Inc. is part of a national volunteer movement that began in 1977 when Judge David Soukup in Seattle decided he needed to know more about the children whose lives were in his hands. His solution was to ask community volunteers to act as a “voice in court” for abused and neglected children. These Court Appointed Special Advocate® (CASAs) provided him with the detailed information he needed to safeguard the children’s best interests and ensure that they were placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. The program was so successful that it was copied around the nation. 

We have a wide variety of items to bid on this year, including Austin FC tickets, a Home Depot bucket full of helpful items, Wurstfest tickets, a gigantic Texas Happy Hour tub, Coffee & Tea baskets, a Dolly Parton themed basket, several Game Night items with lots of snacks. There are so many creative baskets!

Winners will be notified by email on October 16, 2026, when the auction closes at 4 pm. Payment options are payroll deduction (for items $60 and higher), Square Tap-to-pay, cash, or check. Jessica Crabtree will organize In-person basket payment & pickup in the North Austin Complex (NAC) lobby on October 20 & 22. 

She will also coordinate shipping for regional staff winners, with our event sponsor, CFO Trey Wood, covering shipping costs.
