A Home for Hooves 9th Anniversary Online Auction

This auction is in celebration of  9 years of giving sanctuary to abandoned, surrendered, neglected and abused farmed animals. We are now home to 230+ animals living their best lives. There have been additions to the farm this past year and some very sad losses, but through it all we continue to give homes to farmed animals in need.

Proceeds from our auction will help fund two important infrastructure projects at the sanctuary: replacing aging fencing and building a much-needed shelter for our cows.

We invite you to browse through the auction of unused (new) treasures, and if you’re able, bid on items or donate. You can also help by sharing the auction link on your social media sites and telling all your friends, relatives, and acquaintances about the items which were generously donated for this auction (handy links to socials can be found under 'Donate Now' to the left). We encourage you to support the business partners who donated items - and tell them why you’re doing business with them!

A Home for Hooves is a registered charity in Duncan, BC, dedicated to providing loving, lifelong homes to rescued farmed animals who have been abandoned, surrendered, or seized by the BC SPCA. Founded in September 2017, we are proud to be the first farm animal sanctuary in Canada accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, as well as the largest farm sanctuary in British Columbia and the only farm sanctuary on Vancouver Island.

With more than 230 animals currently in our care, including pigs, goats, sheep, cows, miniature horses, donkeys, chickens, geese, ducks, partridges, pigeons, turkeys, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, and even an emu, we certainly have our hands full!

At A Home for Hooves, we believe every farmed animal deserves the opportunity to live a life filled with safety, compassion, and care. We welcome animals who need additional support, whether they have come from neglectful or horrific conditions, were surrendered as former pets, or simply had nowhere else to go.

Every animal who arrives at our sanctuary brings a story with them. Some stories are heartbreaking, some are surprising, and some are stories of resilience and second chances. With more than 230 unique personalities, their stories are just as numerous, and each one matters.

Our wonderful volunteers help with the everyday care of the animals, social media, graphic design, fundraising, newsletters, and event planning. We couldn’t function without the amazing people who freely give their time at A Home for Hooves.
