About Our Auction

At Shimmy Mob, we believe in the transformative power of dance to bring people together, raise awareness, and make a real impact. Founded in 2011 by the visionary Francesca Anastasi (aka Sabeya), Shimmy Mob is more than just a dance event—it's a global movement dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence and promoting a message of empowerment and community.

Our Mission:
Simple yet profound, our mission is to use the art of belly dance to shine a spotlight on domestic violence and to raise vital funds for shelters and support services. We strive to educate people on recognizing the signs of abuse and breaking the cycle of violence. Through each shimmy and sway, we aim to foster a world where kindness, inclusivity, and integrity lead the way to healing and hope.

Shimmy Mob is a celebration of fun and teamwork, where dancers in cities around the world unite for a common cause. Our events are not just about performing—they're about coming together as a community to make a difference. Every shimmy you take part in contributes to a greater purpose, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

Get Involved: Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, there’s a place for you in the Shimmy Mob family. Join us at our next event, spread the word, or support our cause in any way you can. Together, we can turn our passion for dance into a powerful force for good.
