About Our Auction
The 2025 Art on Main project is underway, and this year we are showcasing 8 large, raised planters, along with 4 adorable dog (or cat!) houses.
Each item was lovingly designed by a local artist (or group of artists) -- many of whom spent dozens of hours creating their beautiful piece.
Not only do these items add a bright and beautiful touch to our downtown, but they also help us raise much needed funding for Historic Downtown Kendallville, so that we may continue the mission of "Encouraging the economic development, historic preservation, and continuous improvement of downtown Kendallville."
UPDATE: 25% of the proceeds from the doghouses featured in this auction will be donated to the Humane Society of Noble County to support their mission to provide shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals until a suitable home can be found.
Thank you for participating in this auction to support our wonderful community!
About Historic Downtown Kendallville
The mission of Historic Downtown Kendallville is "To encourage the economic development, historic preservation, and continuous improvement of downtown Kendallville."
Our goal is to make downtown Kendallville a thriving, family-friendly destination full of unique assets and overwhelming community pride.
As such, our organization's efforts focus primarily on the following areas:
- Downtown Design, such as installing murals and artwork, restoring/revitalizing historic buildings, and other ongoing beautification efforts.
- Downtown Promotion, including hosting events and that bring patrons to the downtown area, and marketing the downtown to other regions across the state. Some of our larger events include the Fairy, Gnome and Troll Festival, the Kendallville Car Show, and the Kendallville Lantern Parade. We also host concerts in the park, skate parties in the street, and other smaller events throughout the year.
- Downtown Economic Vitality, including attracting new businesses and second floor housing to downtown, facilitating an active entrepreneur ecosystem for new and growing small businesses, pursuing grants and resources to support existing businesses within the downtown, and working collaboratively with other organizations to improve the quality of life throughout our community.
Proceeds from this auction will help us build capacity and support our downtown improvement efforts far in the future.
